Just over a year ago, I had been looking for a vamp-like lip and I found one from the Asos by a brand called Lord & Berry. It is called the Semi-matte, Vogue lipstick in the shade Black red.
It is a very moisturising lipstick, the texture is nice and smooth and it is a great way to test the waters with a more daring colour. It can be quite nerve racking when trying out a very dark lip colour, particularly if you are pale; that is what makes this lipstick so fabulous, it is very buildable and you can use it in different ways. You can create a very subtle red wine lip look, simply by patting the lipstick on, or apply it liberally/ with a lip liner of the same colour to create a richer payoff. Asos currently have a sale on most of their Lord & Berry products, so now would be a good time to try them out if you are unsure.
Now, moving on to the mascara. Recently, there has been a huge Next built near me, so on Friday I had a look in there and to my surprise I found that Next was selling Lord & Berry lipsticks, mascaras and concealer. I like the look of the brush and packaging and even though I thought £12 for a mascara is a little pricey, I knew that Lord & Berry were a brand of quality and I was feeling like a dare-devil, so I went for it. I must first point out that my eyelashes are awful, they have no volume and are very short but this mascara gave them volume without clumyness ( is that even a word?!) and serious length. Granted, I did use my Space.n.k eyelash curlers £15, having said that, I have used these curlers with the Clinique High Lengths mascara and the Benefit They're Real Mascara ( which in my opinion is abysmal) and never have I had results like this before. Also, the packaging of Lord & Berry products look so sleek and sophisticated. While I wouldn't recommend this product to people with amazing eyelashes, purely because you don't need to go and spend that much on mascara when you already have great eyelashes, I would if you have trouble getting any length on to your lashes with mascaras you have tried. Also, a warning if you don't double cleanse, you're not getting this mascara of your lashes but that does mean that if you're meeting your boyf/ex for a painful break-up discussion and don't want to look like a mess go for this, no one will know that you're crying! On a lighter note, Lord & Berry don't test on animals, yay, they're ticking all the boxes! X
This colour looks amazing.
