The other day I went into my local Boots because I was in dire need of some shampoo. I usually go with L'oreal when it comes to shampoo, so when I saw that they had the new fibrology shampoo
and conditioner for half price I went straight in. I also bought the thickening masque from the same range and it too was half price. Now I don't necessarily believe that this is making my hair thicker but it definitely feels as though it has more body to it, which is something that I feel my hair is lacking at the moment.
I then bought the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream SPF 20, the problem with putting 'miracle', in the title is that you are already setting the bar very high and to be honest this is no miracle. Granted, I may not be the correct demographic for this cream but still. Do I think this is a good product? Yes, I do; it feels hydrating and moisturising and as it gets more into spring and summer, it is nice to have a moisturiser with an SPF in it. However if you already have a tinted moisturiser with an SPF I wouldn't rush out to get this, because behind the marketing gimmick this is a very nice, moisturised down version of any tinted moisturiser you'll find in the highstreet. Also, a word of warning, you will need to blend this in as you would any other tinted moisturisers. Now, on to a more positive note the Boots Botanics Ultra Calming Night Cream 50ML, this is probably the third or fourth time that I have repurchased this. I used it before I go to bed after, I have applied Hydraluron to my skin and it makes my skin feel so soft in the morning. The cream is quite thick but it feels very luxurious and calming. I would say though, if you have relatively normal skin and need a night time moisturiser, then go for this because it does the job and is totally inexpensive. However, if you have eczema or very dry skin/ dry skin condition I would stick to Avène, Oilatum or Aveeno when it comes to a moisturiser as this may sting your skin. Stay tuned for part 2.
